As we wish to maintain a healthy safe environment for all children attending the centre, please be considerate to others. I
f your child is ill, or has any of the following symptoms, we would appreciate it if you could call us so other parents can be informed if it is potentially contagious.
Some common signs and symptoms, for which you should seriously consider keeping your child at home:
- High temperature
- Unidentified rash
- Vomiting or diarrhoea
- Inflamed or sore throat/eyes
If your child is sent home with a fever or any other symptoms, we ask that you keep them at home for a further 24 hours.
If we are unsure about any health-related issues, you will be asked to collect your child and get a doctor’s clearance certificate.
All medicine must be physically handed to a staff member and not left in your child’s bag. This includes topical creams.
If your child has begun a course of antibiotics, then we ask you to keep your child at home for the first 24 hours following the commencement of the medication.
You must record your instructions in the “Medicine Book” and please sign the book each day the medicine is required.
Accidents/ Medical attention required outside the centre.
If medical attention is required, we will immediately endeavour to contact parents or guardians. If necessary, we will contact your child’s doctor.
We have an allergy register and it is important that we are advised of any allergies and please keep us updated with any changes.
